Hello All! I am home, but the trip lives on in the stories, photos and random things I keep finding as I unpack my luggage. I am currently working full time at Greyhound’s parcel department, but I finish that on Christmas Eve and I am looking forward to some more free time before visiting the great white North in mid-January!
Well here it goes:
#1 is a photo from Ireland, when I went back for a week after Egypt.
is my best friend from home. This day we took a long road trip along the very windy roads to Killarney. We went to Dublin together for a great Halloween and I headed off to Dubai:
Where I got to see
and see how hot the desert really is. I also got to meet a lot of really nice people.
From Dubai, I went to Cambodia. I posted often from there, but here are some of the reasons why I loved it so much.
My REALLY great co-volunteers Alex and Ian, and Shrey a sweet girl who has a HUGE heart.
One of my highlights was helping Raksmey with her french and watching her write emails to Aliya.
Meeting the staff at the volunteer center and other volunteers from around the world.
This little boy made me smile everyday with his goofiness and his love.
Watching kids with no toys (other then 2 volleyballs and 1 soccerball) make up games and play in the yard for hours.
Helping to start the building of a treehouse for the kids to play in.
Washing young Keo’s shirt after school….this was before the splashing started

It was, as you can imagine an emotional goodbye. Tout le monde avait les yeux dans l’eau, mais bien, j’espère y retourner un jour et je veux devenir une aide pour quelques-uns des jeunes, je veux les aider pour qu’ils puissent prendre des cours d’anglais.
After Cambodia, I had a week in Thailand. Where I met a group from Belgium who spoke French! I went to Thai boxing with them, but it was not very good at all.
After that we left on a hike through the Thai jungle from Village to Village.
And on the second day I got rammed by this elephant:
He looks cute, but he was MEAN! We also went Bamboo rafting down a river.
After the trek we decided to try to brave going into a TIGER CAGE!
But they were VERY sleepy. Even Roxanne and Heather couldn’t wake them up.
But I think that I look like a pretty fierce tiger in this picture:
.I said one last goodbye to
Chiang Mai and headed to Australia.
In Melbourne I went to Luna Park on St.Kilda Beach,
, it was cool. Then I went to visit my friends in Colac and I spent some time touring around the state with them.

After a few days I went to visit another friend in Healesville.

Darin and I at the top of the treetop walk or on a suspension bridge....something terrifying anyways.

And at last, I have already written about the drama of the trip home and the 76hours of planes and airports, this photo was my: “Well there is nothing we can do about it, so we may as well have fun” pose. After which I went and saw Santa Clause who was visiting the airport on his way to the South Pole for his annual summer dinner.
